With the new year starts a new vendor for garbage and recycle pick-up, John’s Disposal.
John’s is a family owned business out of the Whitewater area. John’s services over 40 cities, villages and towns in SE Wisconsin. References were checked and every contact rated John’s as “4 star, the best”. The village will realize a 7 – 10% savings with this contract.
Not much will change!!
Monday remains our collection day and John’s starts January 6, 2014.
Recycle will be picked up on alternating Mondays starting on January 13th.
Yard waste will be collected from March to November on Mondays alternating with the recycle schedule.
Something New
On the third Monday of EVERY month bulk pick-up will be available. Bulk pick-up includes refrigerators, stoves, chairs, sofas or almost anything, including yard waste in brown bags. This pick-up does NOT include electronics – computers, TV’s, etc. These items can now be recycled (donated) at Goodwill or wait for an electronics recycle day often listed in the newspaper.
New 93 gallon carts will be delivered, Monday, December 30th
John’s recommends that you try the larger carts for a month or so. If you would like the smaller 48 gallon cart you can call to make arrangements to switch one or both of the containers. John’s will help you with that. Note: our current carts are 63 gallon. After December 30th use ONLY the carts from John’s.
Waste Management will be picking up their carts after their final pick-up.
