Dear Village of Elmwood Park Residents,
This notification is to inform you about a recent incident in the Village of Elmwood Park;
On Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at approximately 8:37 p.m., Racine County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home invasion/burglary in progress in the 3400 block of N. Elmwood Dr., in the Village of Elmwood Park. Upon arrival, the deputies determined that the lone occupant of the residence had fled the residence after having contact with the two intruders. Sheriff’s deputies searched the residence and the surrounding area, but they were unable to locate the suspects. The suspects were described as two white males wearing black ski masks. One suspect was tall, thin build, blue eyes, wearing a black hoodie and dark colored jeans.
The Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) is actively investigating these crimes. Furthermore, the Sheriff’s Office will continuing having an increased presence in the Elmwood Park area with additional patrols. CIB investigators are asking residents and local business to check their door cameras or surveillance systems for any information that may be relevant to this investigation.
