At last night’s regular Village Board of Trustees meeting, Kapur Engineering presented their recommendations for road reconstruction and water drainage improvements in Elmwood Park over the next few years. The Board by consensus approved moving forward with next steps.
The following meetings are scheduled next:
- Thursday, April 9th, 2020 at 6PM – Presentation and Open House by Kapur Engineering – This will be an opportunity for residents to observe, ask questions, and gain feedback on the proposed road improvements
- Thursday, April 16th, 2020 at 6:30PM – in addition to being the regularly scheduled Board of Trustees meeting, the Board and public will hear the different financing mechanisms that may be used for the proposed road improvements by Ehlers Financial Advising Firm
Following these meetings, public hearing and resolution dates will be scheduled.
The Village of Elmwood Park hopes that interested residents attend these meetings to better inform themselves and give feedback on these proposed improvements. As a footnote, this road reconstruction discussion stemmed from the Strategic Plan passed by the Village Board in May of 2019.
